Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (hereinafter referred to as "SLTDA" "us" "we" or "our") is committed to respect your privacy and to comply with any applicable data protection and privacy laws. The Privacy Policy applies to all Customers and Users (collectively referred to as "Users"). In addition, this Privacy Policy applies to all products and services provided by eservices.sltda.gov.lk (hereinafter referred to as the "Site"). We at SLTDA are extremely proud of our commitment to protect your privacy. You can be assured that we will use your personal information only to support your continuing relationship with SLTDA. We are providing this Privacy Policy to help you understand how we collect, use and protect your information when you visit and/or use the Online Tourism Business Licensing Services(hereinafter referred to as “OTBLS”) through the Site. Please read the following policy to understand how your personal information will be treated as you make full use of the Site. This Privacy Policy should be read in conjunction with the terms and conditions of use for eservices.sltda.gov.lk.

Information we receive and how it is used

We collect and store information about you to better enable a more intuitive and customized online Services.

Your information

Your information is the information that's required when you sign up for the site, as well as the information you choose to share.

• Registration information: When you sign up for OTBLS, you are required to provide information such as your name, email address, and phone number.

We also receive other types of information about you:

• We receive data from the computer, mobile phone or other device you use to access OTBLS, including when multiple users log in from the same device. This may include your IP address and other information such as your location, type of sites and pages visited etc.
• We receive data whenever you visit a website that is connected, affiliated or runs on the eservices.sltda.gov.lk platform.

Usage of Data

SLTDA reserves the right to use and share information received and stored for marketing campaigns conducted for SLTDA and its Affiliates.

Data Security

We use a number of mechanisms (encryption, passwords, physical security) to protect the security and integrity of your personal information against unauthorized access and disclosure. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. So while we strive to protect such information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. Once any personal information comes into our possession, we will take reasonable steps to protect that information from misuse and loss and from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure.

Usernames and User IDs

A username is your unique ID we use to identify you. You are free to browse the site without registering for a user ID as well.

Your user ID and password must be kept secure at all times to avoid online impersonation

Deleting and deactivating your account

If you want to stop using your account, please send an email to otbls@srilanka.travel with your request.

Responding to legal requests and preventing harm

We may share your information based on legal requests and official sanction to prevent harm, crime or as part of an official investigation. Information shared will be your login details, type and nature of online transactions, payment methods and financing arrangements if any.

Notifications and Other Messages

We will send you daily notifications via email or SMS upon your subscription to such content.

Termination

SLTDA may terminate this Agreement at any time. Without limiting the foregoing, SLTDA shall have the right to immediately terminate any passwords or accounts of User in the event of any conduct by User which SLTDA, in its sole discretion, considers to be unacceptable, or in the event of any breach by User of this Agreement. 

Indemnification

User agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless SLTDA, its subsidiaries and Business Associates, and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from and against all claims and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising out of the use of this Website.

Access requests

You can correct your personal data by clicking on account settings.

Change of Control

If the ownership of your business changes, please inform us in written at your earliest.

Notice of Changes

If we make changes to this Data Use Policy we will notify you (for example, by publication on the eservices.sltda.gov.lk homepage under "privacy policy. We will also provide you the opportunity to comment on this change within 7 days of the policy being updated.
