You are eligible to formally register with Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority and it requires renewing the license annually as per Tourism Development Act No. 38 of 2005.

Before proceeding with the online application, please ensure the following;

1.Make sure you comply with the relevant Gazetted requirements, Regulations, Guidelines.(refer the link)
2.Select the correct “Tourism Business Type” such as Tourist Hotel, Tourist Guest House, Tourist Restaurant, Travel Agency, etc. accordingly..
3.Make sure all required correspondence are available with you for relevant business type

This aim is to support the SMEs sector during this pandemic and in any future crisis. Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) encourages the Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) in the tourism sector to register with SLTDA. To help the SME sector, SLTDA has relaxed certain guidelines without compromising the quality.

1.You may enjoy the provisional license for 06 months and it is essential to get the formal registration with SLTDA before the expiration of the provisional license.
